Raised in a household with deaf parents, and navigating my own hearing challenges, I learned from an early age to communicate beyond words. I became deeply attuned to gesture, expression, movement and the small details that can so easily go unnoticed. While others connected through conversation, I found meaning in watching, imagining and interpreting the world around me.

Drawing became a natural language for me, and that way of seeing remains central to my artistic practice. My work is rooted in observation, while moving freely between realism, memory and imagination.

My childhood was shaped by two very different worlds. Home life could be uncertain and chaotic, while summers spent with my grandmother in the countryside offered a sense of peace and freedom. Surrounded by fields, forests, a river and animals, I discovered a quieter world in which nature, imagination and simple moments could become a source of wonder. Those memories continue to find their way into my work.

Through colour, detail, pattern and a sense of whimsy, I transform elements of reality into landscapes, figures and imagined creatures that exist somewhere between memory and imagination.

I do not seek to recreate chaos; I create what I have always searched for: calm, tenderness, hope, and a small sense of joy.

I hope my work offers the viewer a moment of stillness and discovery — a reminder that even through difficult experiences, beauty, wonder and light can still be found.
